Editor/Publisher Regina Williams

Ms. Williams is not only the Editor/Publisher, she is also the Founder of The Storyteller Magazine. Ms. Williams is a graduate of Williams Baptist College, Walnut Rdige, Arkansas.  Her career has included DJ, law secratary, Arkansas State Parks Interpreter, and staff writer for a local magazine, not to mention many mind-numbing, and boring 9-5's.  As editor, she has been accepted into the 2002 edition of Who's Who in U.S. Writer's, Editors, and Poets.  Her work has been in Smile: American Short Humor, Black Powder Annual, Rural Arkansas, Black Petals, Futures Mysterious Anthology Magazine, Ozarks Monthly, Fiction Addiction, Dead Mule, Writing on Walls Anthology I & II, Echoes of the Ozarks Anthology  I, II & III, Tales of the South Anthology, Shadows After Midnight Anthology and Voices Anthology as well as online at Fiction Addiction.  She has also won awards with Heartland Writers Guild, Ozark Creative Writers Conference, Arkansas Writers, Ozark Writers League where she won the Dan Saults award two years in a row, the Showcase Award at Ozark Creative Writers Conference and Oklahoma Writers Federation Inc. where she won first place for her sci-fi novel.  She has also won several awards for her poetry.

She has completed two novels, Washed In the Blood, a suspense novel set in the Ozark Foothills, now with an agent, and The Traveler, a sci-fi novel. In the last two years, Ms. Williams has spoken to Saturday Writers Workshop, Ozarks Writers League, Hemingway-Pheiffer Writers Retreat, Ozark Creative Writers Conference, and White County Creative Writers Conference, as well as, Oregon Christian Writers Conference.  For her schedule please log on to:

Ms. Williams is a member of Saturday Writers, Ozark Creative Writers and serves as vice-president for Ozarks Writers League.  She lives in Maynard and New Jersey, with her husband Tom.

    

 

 

 

Editor Rick Jankowski

Mr. Jankowski lives and writes in Tinley Park, Illinois. Four years ago, he began writing stories about lavender mists, haunted publishers, and happiness viruses, and to his great suprise and delight, over two dozen of those stories have been published in small presses and literary magazines, inculding The Storyteller, Futures Mysterious Anthology Magazine, Double Danger Tales, Detective Mystery Story, Alien Worlds, The Griffin, The Macgriffin, Green's Magazine, Armchair Aesthete, Peridot Books, Wild Violet, Andromeda Space Ways, The Cuivre River Anthology, Aphelion and Verbicide.  He has won several awards and was a semi-finalist in the New Century Writer Ray Bradbury Fellowship Contest. Managing Editor/Jamie Johnson

Ms. Johnson has been writing most of her life. Her poetry has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and she's had several short stories and poems published and has won awards for her work. She owns and operates her own business--CheyDok Designs a webpage design company. Ms. Johnson's talents are seen on this website. She lives in Maynard, Arkansas with her husband Gordon and two children, Dakota and Cheyenne.

Associate Editor Ruthan Riney

Mrs. Riney is a homemaker, florist, church secratary and writer. She reviews books for The Storyteller and won her first award for a story called Awesome.  An avid reader, she critiques subscriber's short stories for the magazine. (Critique fees are listed along with the ad rates.) Her talents also include painting, crafts, cooking, and gardening. She lives in Maynard with her husband, Dick and daughter Brenna.

Brenna--the grown up version of the little girl in the picture--is our past Managing Editor. We were sorry to lose her, but life is that way sometimes.

Articles Editor Dusty Richards

Mr. Richards is the author of 65 novels, the latest, The Horse Creek Incident published by Jove. He has written countless articles, including "How-To" series for The Storyteller.  He is currently a Board member of Ozark Creative Writers and served on the Board of Directors for over a decade. He was also past vice-president of Oklahoma Writers Federation and a Director of Ozark Writers League in Branson, Missouri.  Besides his involvment in writers' confrences, he teaches a day long course on "How to Write Selling Fiction". A graduate of Southern Arizona State University, he spent 32 years with Tyson Food Managment as well as TV anchor, and a gold card rodeo announcer.  Mr. Richards is a member of the Western Writers of America. He lives in Springdale, Arkansas with his wife Pat.

Assistant Art Director Nancy Riney

Ms. Riney has been interested in art most of her life. While in school, she designed the sets for the junior and senior plays and won numerous awards for her work, including Honorable Mention from Time Magazine when a Jr. in high school.  She has written and illustrated a children's book and is looking for an agent. Nancy's artwork has been featured in The Storyteller almost since it's conception, when she designed our logo.  Her dedication, professionalisim, and knowledge as a paramedic have earned her the respect and admiration of her peers. Ms. Riney's artwork has been displayed at Studio on the Square in Pochaontas, Arkansas, The Oval Gallery in Little Rock, Arkansas for their Aqua Viva Show, and at the Patrick Henry Hayes Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. She also had some of her work displayed at the Starving Artist Cafe in Little Rock, Arkansas, .  She lives in Warm Springs, Arkansas.

 Art Director Otis Lawson

Mr. Lawson has published two books, Smile: American Short Humor and Rhyme: A Journey Through Life. His work has appeared in numerous small press magazines as well. He is a contract aircraft designer by trade and an artist and writer by choice. His artwork has graced the covers of The Storyteller for several years. He is now working on an espionage/political mystery. Mr. Lawson and his wife Donna live in Durant, Oklahoma.

Advertising Director  Lou Turner

Ms. Turner began her writing career after nearly three decades as an artist and art teacher.  After retiring from the art world, that dream became a reality and she has now published both fiction and non-fiction, won just over 80 writing awards to date, almost half of which were first place honors.  Ms. Turner has written 11 novels and 500 short stories in what she calls her crazy effort to learn the craft. One of her books is now with an agent in New York, and a screenplay of that story, that she co-wrote with a friend, is making the rounds in Hollywood, after winning 1st place honors at OWFI.  In 2004 Lou was nominated for a prestigious Pushcart Prize.  Ms. Turner has been on the board of OWL after realizing that she needed to start giving back to the orginization that not only helped her in her career, but led her to so many wonderful friendships.  Welcome to our staff Ms. Turner!  We look forward to working with you.
