The Storyteller is making big and exciting changes beginning with the January/February/March 2007 issue.

Our word count will go up to 2,500 words.

That doesn't mean you have to write a story 2,500 words long, but it does mean that you have more room in which to tell your story. We will still consider shorter works, but please don't go over the 2,500 word limit.

Also, we will be a paying market.

Our writers will receive 1/4 cent per word for short stories and essays. Poetry will be paid $1.00 per poem. This will be payable upon publication and you will get a check once the magazine is printed, which means your check will arrive with your subscription issue. If you don't have a subscription, we will send the check all by itself.

Unfortunately, at this time, we are still not offering contributors copies, but are hoping that will change in the near future.

Purchasing ads:

While the magazine has had very limited advertising, we are also hoping to change that. Most of the magazine will still be stories and poetry, but we are hoping to incorporate more advertising so we will be able to grow in the future. If you have a product or book you would like to advertise, please check out our advertising rates below. We think you will find them lower than most magazines, but remember, we go to all 50 states and 17 foreign countries.
